frequently asked
How do you start a deep conversation?
You don't announce it. You just ask a better question. 'What's on your mind these days?' is a better opening than 'Let's have a deep talk.' The depth comes from the question, not from declaring your intention.
What if someone isn't ready for a deep conversation?
Then they'll give a surface answer, and that's fine. Don't push. Sometimes someone needs to hear a deep question three times before they're ready to answer it honestly. Just asking it plants the seed.
